Introduction:

The leadership of any organization has an obligation to care for the safety and well –being of the people in the organization and the organization as an entity. In order to fulfill legal, moral and ethical responsibilities in this regard it is best practice to;

 

1. Identify all the reasonable potential hazards to the safety and well-being of the organization and its personnel.

2. Develop and maintain a practical Emergency Response Plan

3. Orientate everyone in the organization to the plan and train all those responsible for implementation of the plan

4. Practice plan implementation to maintain readiness

5. Review the Plan annuallyA good response plan will be designed to simply and effectively describe the structure of the command and control of the plan, basic response actions, and supporting information.
